ABOUT ME

Tasha-Brooklyn Bridge-29.jpg

Hello my multi-tasking, problem solving, trying to keep it all together, parental rock stars.

My name is Tasha Pope and I have 2 children, a girl and a boy. When I became pregnant with my daughter in 2014, many people reached out to help in multiple ways. I was introduced to a plethora of groups focusing on motherhood and it aided in my journey tremendously. Honestly, it felt like I was allowed access to this exclusive club the day I announced my pregnancy. The outpour of support was unbelievable. Fast forward to 2021 and I was blessed to have a son. Being that it was during covid, there were a lot of isolated moments, but I remembered my village and knew they were just a phone call away. I want this for all of my fellow caretakers. I want to be able to serve as a useful source to those seeking inspiration, help, or advice. So, I decided to own that role and be intentional about it.

Raising a child with a full-time career can be challenging, but I created The Workin Momma with a mission to give others the same support I received. In no way am I an expert, but I do embody plenty of information that many have found useful. Also, if I don't have an answer for you, I have a network of amazing parents that are committed to this mission and the overall advancement of children as a whole.  Becoming a mom has been the most challenging  I've ever faced, but I am knocking down  barriers and obstacles left and right. If I fall, I get back up; sometimes with the help of my partner, friends, family, or even some parents I don't know.

I still believe in the old saying, "it takes a village to raise a child," and it's time to get back to a place where we uplift, support, and share with one another. Think about it like this, we will all benefit in the long run.

So take this journey with me. We can share advice, relive precious memories, and  be that support through the, not so easy times.
